Rytuals is an experience out of a cosmic manifestation. Encapsulating the essence of a spiritual existence, this showcase whispers of myths & epics, veiled acts of magical beings and fragrant ceremonies within an endless cosmos. Portrayed with the curatorial intent to pay homage to the ancient rituals of the Vedic culture. An Immersive scenography by the Modern Maharaja of Design~ Kunaal Kyhaan, curated by Valentina Guidi Ottobri; present the latest collection of GALAXY (cosmic) objects from Kunaal’s contemporary Indian home decor brand, KOY. They translate Indian mythological tales and customs to depict the collection as an epic. Kunaal Kyhaan winner of EDIDA India’s “Designer of the Year” presents on the occasion of Fuori Salone 2020, his collaborations with leading Italian brands Driade, Baldi, London Art, Henzel Studio and XX, to bring together an assembly of cosmic worlds and magical beings. Depicting ancient acts of ceremonial duties as scenography, Kunaal Kyhaan presents his first solo exhibit that transports you into an exotic universe filled with stories. The design shrine at Ventura Centrale’s Tunnel 129 is transformed as a tour into this cosmic world filled with mystic, the Tree of Life laden with crystal fruits forms the epicentre to a civilisation flourished by cosmic energies. Eloquently recreating the sacred rituals of mankind and providing the perfect environment for the launch of his pieces that seize the beauty of the starry night sky.

We all are the construct of cosmic dust, a divine consciousness that binds our energies together. Rituals are a simplistic medium of channelising these elements within oneself. Practiced throughout the world, these ceremonial acts are designed to create a bond between the cosmic worlds.As a designer with a goal to share the rich cultural heritage of my country, the showcase is an invitation to experience a cosmic mirage designed to mesmerise. Translating these practices and recreating their mythological outcomes as visuals guided my vision. Each feature reflects these narrations, exploring tales that have survived generations. KOY’s 2020 collection- “Worlds within Worlds” consists of three universes, each exploring unique materiality & iconic forms. Symbolising, the three realms of divine existence ~ The Galaxy; The Earth and The Celestial Rainbow.

The showcase is designed as an invitation to think to reality not as an individual, but as universal. We talk to the gods with everyday rituals that help us to leave the illusion of the material world until we reach pure consciousness. In a world in continuous change, Kunaal’s show is a reflection on the way we experience the world through senses and reason in an infinite cycle of acts.

According to Vedic traditions, rituals were considered as important because we believed that they will help us to maintain the order of cosmos. That’s why we decided to host this theme to present GALAXY the new Kunaal’s furniture collection.
