VALENTINA GUIDI OTTOBRI IS A VISIONARY VOICE IN CONTEMPORARY ART AND DESIGN

Born in Florence in 1988, Valentina Ottobri is an artist, creative director and curator working internationally across art, collectible design, performance, spatial practices and contemporary culture. Her practice is guided by an inclusive and humanistic vision of culture where art becomes a space for dialogue, participation and transformation. She is interested in creating projects support different communities and voices, particularly those often left at the margins, using creativity as a sensitive instrument for expression, connection and empowerment. At the centre of her research is also a relationship between art and spirituality.

For Valentina, artistic creation can become a form of inner exploration: a way of reconnecting with nature, memory, ritual and the invisible dimensions of human experience. This spiritual dimension is not understood as doctrine, but as a space for contemplation, awareness and shared experience. Through VGO Associates, the association she founded in 2020 Valentina develops and organises international residencies dedicated to active sharing, artistic research and experimentation. Bringing together artists, designers, thinkers and practitioners from different cultural backgrounds, these residences create temporary communities where knowledge, philosophies and experiences can be exchanged freely, generating new forms of soul expressions.

Her work moves fluidly creating exhibitions, immersive environments, artistic objects and participatory experiences. Her curatorial projects have been presented in contexts including Palazzo Strozzi and featured in Vogue, The New York Times Magazine and AD.

Previously, as founder of the Design Department at Luisaviaroma, she developed artistic installations and conceptual environments that challenged the boundaries between commerce and culture. In 2020, she was selected by FRAME Magazine as part of its international jury, with her project LAND recognised for its poetic exploration of terracotta and the primordial relationship between human beings and the earth.

Today, Valentina works independently between Tuscany, Monaco and international destinations, collaborating with artists, institutions, brands and cultural organisations. Her projects include collaborations with European cultural programmes and International Design, as well as active participation in international calls and cultural initiatives. Valentina’s artistic practice creates immersive spaces and surreal immaginaries where creativity, listening, spirituality and culture becomes a tool for inclusion giving others a new way to transform.
