In occasion of the XXX International Biennale of Antiques in Florence, the Von Hessenbeck Galley presents RINO STEFANO TAGLIAFIERRO. A young contemporary sailor who rides the puritan majestic waves of classical works of art updating and reinterpreting the tales of the past that slowly come to life, between gentle caresses, erotic scenes, crude episodes, skies ripped with thunder and stormy foaming seas. From Renaissance to Romanticism, moving through Baroque; a hypnotic and maniacal work that renders homage to the masterpieces that make up the history of art. This eclectic digital artist, born in 1980, has always loved creating unusual worlds and emotions with his cinematic poetry, receiving international acclaim at events such as the Cannes Short Film Festival, Corner, Festival d'Annecy and Milan Film Festival. He has collaborated with a number of different studios, directors and cinematographic projects worldwide such as " David Lynch - The Art Life" by Jon Nguyen. Just like artists of the past, he has worked "on commission" for Louis Vuitton, Samsung, Kenzo, Bvlgari, BMW, winning the Gold Award and the LIA AWARDS 2015 with ADV "Untouched" for Coca-Cola. From canvas to digital pixels, for the first time his work is being exhibited in a gallery in limited edition and signed by the artist.
BEAUTY: A tale that addresses the principle emotions in life, from birth to death, love to sexuality moving through pain and fear. A tribute to art, to life and to their disarming beauty. The central theme of the work is the human body reacting to the emotions within. Nudity, that in classical art was the absolute symbol of beauty and perfection, is represented in "BEAUTY" under various points of view: pure, at times erotic, other times a symbol of strength and occasionally disturbing.
"I have always loved recreating the unusual situations that live in the imagination, memories suspended in the mind that can only be relived through the art piece. My work is uniquely born from the need to express myself, with the goal to put into action a state of mind, a precise situation that is happening somewhere else. My artistic research is based on creating a scene through the medium of video or photography, the reaction that things have when I alter their space/time and the mutation of the body that transforms with emotions”.

It's a private voyage into the world of erotica. The spectator, as if he were spying through a keyhole, is treated to a private show in which the art is the object of desire. The most beautiful erotic icons of the classical era teasingly undress themselves in an atmosphere charged with sexual tension, managing, with their eternal power, to transform voyeurismo into a sublime act. Not by chance, the video is conceived for a personal, secret and intimate viewing.PEEP SHOW is a form of timeless entertainment. Contemporary in its form and created with modern technical methods, referencing the first experiments with moving pictures that could easily be found in the 800/900's.
"For the project I chose as a starting point the classic peep shows or "monoscope" of the early 900's, where the spectator, by inserting a few cents, could "spy" a selection of photographs portraying nude scenes. The viewer, for about seven minutes, would be transported from the surrounding world, and become immersed in a comforting and exciting atmosphere of soft bodies and pleasure.
