"Polka Puttana" is not an insult but rather the name of an itinerant art project conceived by the Italian artist Luigi Presicce. It is described as a "disobedient" and unconventional artistic initiative, which unfolds in non-institutional spaces and stems from the artist's need to move and create outside of traditional circuits.

Luigi Presicce, born in Porto Cesareo (Lecce) in 1976, is a well-known contemporary artist who lives and works in Florence. His research often combines theatricality, ritualism, popular iconography, and esotericism. "Polka Puttana" is one of his notable projects, often mentioned alongside other cycles of works such as "Le Storie della Vera Croce" or "La scuola di Santa Rosa". The project has taken the form of a "travelling show" and a collaboration with other artists and events, such as the "Painting Symposium".
